Review : It ain’t college it’s war.

Book name : It ain’t college it’s war.

Author name : Subhodeep Mukherjee

Publications : Notion Press

Price : 350

Blurb : What happens when an engineering college fresher:
• confronts his violent seniors on the first day of ragging?
• tries to woo a beautiful senior who has a nasty boyfriend?
• is heart-broken when his past causes his break-up with the girl he loves?
• goes boozing for the first time?
• is involved in a bloody inter-hostel rivalry with dire consequences?
In his debut novel, It Ain’t College, It’s War! (Book 1 of the It Ain’t trilogy), Subhodeep Mukherjee tells the story of Rahul Arora, an outspoken Delhi boy with a devil-may-care attitude that always gets him in trouble.
Amidst the politically charged atmosphere of his college and his many adventures, Rahul seeks true love, friendship and a job. Will he manage to find balance in his life? Will he make peace with his teachers, classmates, seniors and father and find what he is looking for or will his attitude get the better of him?
Loosely based on true events and also touching on various social issues, this book explores the meaning of love, friendship and career as seen through the eyes of the narrator and protagonist, Rahul Arora.
My verdict :

The cover of the book seems to be less appealing, though the bright colour attracts.

The name of the book is Lil strange, cause the blurb talks something from the name. Is it all about struggle to achieve, is what comes to mind when one reads the. Title.

The narration of the book is quiet okay, at times at very few places the author has narrated the story very beautifully & at times you get bugged cause the story line has been dragged so long making it off sync. The characters of the book are defined well. More work should have been added to the editorial team.

The story lines revolves around Rahul, who has been placed in Government college of in Delhi. The book has the very same common connection with the stories that happens in engineering colleges, the first time you step into the world of friendship, greed, love, selfless love, betrayal and swim into these emotions. Some part of the book was too hilarious and much fun. The whom he falls for is already in love with someone else, these kinda twist & turns are everywhere in these days books, not very interesting plot though. Fun reading

One time read book.
I would rate 3/5 to the complete book.

Friend indeed ♥️

You know there was that time, when I was shattered into pieces longing for hope, dismay soul, looking for lights, looking for sparkle, looking for strength, and most importantly I was looking for the deprived hope and someone who could make me feel Home.

I often ran out of thoughts, thinking and indulging myself on all those not happening things, I was scared, I wanted to hide, I wanted shelter to feel safe, I wanted to talk, I wanted to cry, Yell and that helplessness was creeping on me.

The days I was diving into madness of being numb, the sudden changes & sudden anxieties played around me. I was fighting within bad & good. Good & bad. I felt like running away.

That’s when, that’s when you came to me being my roof, being my saviour, being my listener, making pathetic jokes on me, explaining what life is, being matured to my stupid thoughts that wandered. You came silently without making promises, without holding the tags of forever. And with the most unexpected moments of time, I rang to you, I yelled, I cried, I poured the most hopeless feelings to you. You eased me, you held me, you made me understand.

You calmed the anxiety in me.

I cannot ever be greatful for all those little things u did for me, sometimes looking for tiny changes in me, sometimes looking into minor details, that you held for me.

I love you.

I love you with all my heart ♥

Stay blessed, dear! ❤️

More happiness to you ❤

Review : Graveyard Shift

Book Name : Graveyard shift

Authors name : Manish Mahajan

Price : Inr 175/

Publications : HBB
Blurb : At around midnight, I woke up suddenly. A strange sound was coming from somewhere outside in the passage. I sat up dazed. The curtains were a little ajar letting the moonlight to streak in. I got up to investigate where that noise was coming from. The passageway was almost dark, just a single lamp was left switched on for the night. The sound seemed to be coming from one of the rooms. That was strange, I thought, as there was no one else staying on this floor. All of a sudden, something moved behind me. Turning around I got the shock of my life. Some distance away, in that dreary passageway, stood a figure dressed in flowing white robes, staring hard at me.

My verdict :

Well. This was first read on this genre, and wow this amazed me, the book starting with poem about a dead man coming to his friends home on same date and same time. The poem is written beautifully and expressed very fine.

And then the book contains different stories, each story shall leave you horrified.

My person fav among them are :

Tales in the train

A doll named Wendy

The apartment on the tenth floor.
I am sure, the author has put in lot of efforts in making these stories come out so flawlessly on paper, this reminds me that the genre is Lil tricky and difficult to work on.

The language is beautifully crafted and the twists and turns makes your thoughts unpredictable.

Beautiful read indeed.

Memory lane In Love

Everything unplanned was executed extremely well, and your presence was limelight to the end of the year & to welcome the new

With the loud music, followed by bonfire, dim lights, with bottles of wine and scotch the excitement kept doubling with every passing minute, we didn’t really care the attire we paired with, the way we swayed on the loud music, and how we kept gulping the glasses of wine one after the other.
The pleasant breeze, fuddleness, and the switch to romantic song slightly made our inner demons calm. He came slowly and hugged me from behind, having perfect grip over my belly, and his lips started fumbling my neck and ears, and we swayed in each other’s arms, thats how we had to promised to end and start the year. For me, at that moment, nothing could be more prettier and elegant.

Throwing all those tantrums of emotions, being hilarious, and totally unaware of what we spoke, the bottles had the grip on us, the Tongues were taister and entangled hard. He grabbed me by my waist, and looked into my eyes. Anh! His eyes seduced me and chills ran down my spine. He pulled me closer and walked down to the sauna. The happiness lingered our souls as if our nomad souls found home.
The way he ran his fingers on my back, I sighed. As if the artist’s paint dribbled and settled on the canvas. He Pulled me closer and pressed his lips to mine, his hands reaching the nooks & edges of my body & soul, rooting his love on to them. He undressed my coyness, and stared at my collar bone & sucked it hard. My hands reached to unbutton his shirt, & wild kisses grew one after another.
He started the shower and soon we were drenched & my den was dank with the pleasure of his fingers that danced & inked. I licked his coffer and my tongue painted his groin deeply. He tweaked my bosom and dabbed my udders slowly, sinking me in pleasure.
After the soft moans continued with cozy giggles, he pulled me to the bed, he tasted all the honey that my pot leaked, Making me moan louder in the ocean of lust, he took my one leg on his shoulder and thrusted his Hardness into me. As though paper absorbed the ink. With the endless kisses and grins. we wrapped each other tightly, knitted our souls together, and weaved our love. We fell asleep holding each other. And our souls rested in home. The bond grew tighter.

He is my Man, who cuddles me every night even after a bad aching day at his office, and wakes me up with soft smoothes though his sleep is incomplete. He holds my heart with pride and flaunt us.
He is my Man, my Home and my Desired Novel.

You’re My Home & Desired Novel

You’re my home and Desired Novel :

You’re my Archipelago, where I can rest listening to your dulcet poetry, where we can pounder from one island to another, making thick memories, that would stick to our skin for longer & never decays like petals, the fragrance of our Love shall keep lingering in Archipelago with the verve of every step we shall Move towards the goals & keck ideas that I would snatch devouringly. You’re my comfortable Home and my Peace. And the Desired Novel.

Book Review

Review – Broken Radio

Blurb : This book is not for those who believe in happily ever after tales. It’s brilliantly creepy, violent and extremely offensive in nature. It preaches a cult philosophy against an emasculating consumerist culture.

The story is a brilliant mix of transgressed elements held together by dirty realism. It focuses on characters who feel confined by the norms and expectations of society and who break free of those confines in unusual or illicit ways. Because they are rebelling against the basic norms of society, protagonists may seem mentally ill, anti-social, or nihilistic. The book deals extensively with taboo subject matters such as drugs, sexual activity, violence, pedophilia and crime.

My verdict :

This book is certainly not for everyone, if you have enough guts to complete the story, then great. This hook is so much of taboo, filthy, drugs, sexual activities, and lot and lot of emotions which was really very heavy to carry for me while I kept turning the pages.

Few things made sense, few are just good to ignore. But this book is not concentrating on one character, but they have looked into so many characters and all thier life history in the book.

Aditiya seems to be main who is budding writer who despreatly wants to be published and who is utmost selfish to sell niks story, inspite nik is not a sound person.

The book cover is okayish.

Lot and lot of editing is required.

The story takes makes you travel a lot, and there it also goes off sync in many places.

I would rate 2.7 to the whole book
