Review: Demons in my mind

Book Blurb:

Dakshesh, an old man in Sirubari village suffering from cancer, wishes to be released from the excruciating pain. He requests the villagers to take him to the three monks. They are all intrigued by the legend of the mystical three monks. No one has seen them but only heard stories of miraculous healing they offered.

Knowing that the sick man’s death is imminent, the villagers leave him alone near the Pashupatinath temple hoping that the three monks, if they exist, would embrace him on the holy land. The old man wakes up to the sight of the three monks, but only to know that they are no saints but notorious criminals.

What they tell Dakshesh in his last few breaths, shakes his entire perception of humanity and its sins.

My verdict :

Dakshesh, the character you began reading with, an old man, who has done all good deeds his life, to all the people of villagers, he is old and diagnosed from cancer, his last wish is to see Three old monks.  And when he finally meets them, and tells his reason behind meeting him, three monks have unbearable stores to recite and also warns Dakshesh about the impact after listening to the stories, but Dakshesh stills his mind to listen &  the monk recites the story one by one, the way they have committed thier crime and are no good.

The first monk who is Murderer.

Rezwaan, the school going boy.

The second monk who is Rapist :

Murli, a artist, painter.

The third monk who is Lover
It is Dakshesh, who found monks and hears the stories who leaves you shocking, giving you different types of feelings, pathetic, harming, madness, senses. All these agitations are felt deeply listening to thier stories.

The author must have left no stone unturned, the way the book has been penned is damn beautiful way, the way the characters play, the way they are designed and portrayed, you feel all of them are in front of you. The story, the visualisation gets stronger with every passing time. The language is written is really considerable with all the amidst concentration on the pages you flip, or else u feel the story is off sync which is not. The writer has great command on the language, and the story line.

It’s really not easy to analyse the emotions of artist who commits crime, rape, murder. The name of the book is so appealing, the cover page is designed very well.

You will get adapted and addicted to the book, no wonder, you will end up reading it in one go.

I suggest everyone to read this book 🙂
